Just an ordinary day at an old mysterious Turkish country house where its residents have an extraordinary way of brewing tea. Turkish filmmaker Yagmur Altan’s animated short film debut Rabbit Blood, name originated from an old Turkish idiom, was created while Altan was pursuing his MFA degree in Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. It was premiered at Athens Animfest and National Premiere at !f Istanbul Independent Film Festival and was nominated at international film festivals, including the Oscar, qualifying Montreal World Film Festival and New Orleans Film Festival. Awards include Best Animation at Istanbul Short Film Festival, Best Editing at Watersprite Film Festival and Award of Excellence at Catalina Film Festival.
Yagmur Altan is an animator and independent filmmaker from Istanbul. He is now based in London, where he works as a full-time artist focusing on animation technologies such as face tracking, AR, and VR. Altan is currently working on his 2nd independent animated short film.
