Director, Producer


Ng See-yuen is an established director, producer from Hong Kong, China. He is the Founder of Seasonal Films Corporation, Honorary Permanent President of the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild and Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers. From 1995-2000, Ng served as the president of the board of directors of the Hong Kong Film Awards for 5 consecutive years. He is best known for producing a series of classic Hong Kong action films and being the mentor to world-class actors, including Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Andy Lau and Stephen Chow. He has worked closely with acclaimed directors such as Wong Kar-Wai, Yuen Woo-ping and Tsui Hark. Ng’s producer credits include Drunken Master (1978), Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow (1978), Dragon Inn (1992), Green Snake (1993), the “Once Upon a Time in China” franchise (1986-1993), The Soong Sisters (1997), The Grandmaster (2013, Opening film at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival) and many more. He is also the founder of the UME International Cineplex, one of the largest cinema chains in China.
